Description
Constructive Triangles Box 3 is one of the boxes in the constructive triangles series. The child fits coloured triangles together to build larger shapes, discovering that a square, a rectangle or a hexagon can be made from smaller triangles.
The direct aim is to explore the relationship between plane shapes and the properties of the triangle; the indirect aim is preparation for geometry, including area, equivalence and the study of angles. Colour-coded edges let the child check that the pieces meet correctly.
Each box is used on its own, or as part of the complete constructive triangles set. Like all our materials, it is sourced and quality-checked by Montessori for Kenya for use in AMI/AMS-aligned classrooms, home environments and teacher training settings across Kenya.
